Synopsis

Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World - Chapter 1: A Day in the Capital 01 follows Subaru Natsuki, an ordinary teenager who is suddenly transported to a fantasy world without explanation. Lost and confused, he quickly gets into trouble but is saved by a mysterious silver-haired girl named Emilia. Determined to repay her kindness, Subaru joins her in searching for a stolen insignia, leading them through the bustling capital where they encounter danger, shady characters, and unexpected allies. However, Subaru soon discovers he possesses a strange ability—whenever he dies, he returns to a previous point in time—forcing him to relive painful events as he struggles to protect Emilia and change the outcome of their fate.

Tappei Nagatsuki is the creator of the Re:ZERO series, known for blending dark psychological elements with fantasy and time-loop storytelling.
