Diane spent the first three years of her life living in Singapore\nand has more recently been back for another five years. \"I wanted my\nchildren to have a flavor of Singapore's rich heritage. Finding\nwell-illustrated Singapore legends, with language that is accessible to young\nchildren, was almost impossible, so I decided to write them myself,\" she\nsays. For four years she provided the children's book reviews for the \u003ci\u003eStraits\nTimes\u003c\/i\u003e and is currently working on her collection of children's tales.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nIn her drawings, \u003cb\u003eLak-Khee Tay-Audouard\u003c\/b\u003e seeks to recapture the\nsense of naive innocence that we tend to lose when we all grow up.
