CEKAP, the new Malay Language for Primary Schools series is based on the 2015 syllabus set by the Ministry of Education, Singapore. CEKAP teaches listening, speaking, reading and writing through an interesting variety of activities such as drawing, singing, videos and audios. Group work and peer assessments are also included to encourage students to not just learn independently, but as a team. Lively illustrations and mascots are weaved throughout the book to attract students' attention. The themes featured in CEKAP are based on real life experiences of primary school students, the issues and challenges that they face today. Yet, CEKAP does not neglect to expose students to the cultural aspects of the Malay society by including values, customs and traditions. The CEKEP series comprises textbooks, activity books, small readers, big books, flash cards, picture cards and toolkits.
